To FTP into your organization
web account:
1. Make sure you have an active network account, i.e. you can login to a lab computer with the account name.
2. Make sure you have a web directory. You should have been notified by Academic Computing Technologies that you have a web directory.
3. Download or if already installed, use an FTP (File Transmission Protocol) program to transfer your files on the the FC server.
Run
the program, you will see the following screen (example uses WS-FTP LE): Click
New and fill the textboxes with the appropriate information. Host Name/Address:
type studentwww.fullcoll.edu.
User ID: use your network login id prepended with "fc\" For example - fc\honors
** IT IS EXTREMELY IMPORTANT TO USE A BACKSPACE "\" AND NOT A FORWARD SLASH
"/" AFTER "FC"
Password: use your network login password.
4. Once your username and password are verified, you will be able to transfer files from your home computer to the FC server by selecting the file you want to send to the server and clicking on the arrow to the right, "->". The FTP program will verify that the transfer was successful or not.

5. To view your pages, open a web browser, Internet Explorer or Netscape Navigator, and type the url in the address textbox, i.e. To see the index.htm file in the honors web site, type, http://studentwww.fullcoll.edu/honors.
**
